In March 2019, the General Court issued two judgments on access to scientific studies used in the context of the controversial authorisation of the pesticide glyphosate (Case T-716/14, Anthony C Tweedale v European Food Safety Authority and Case T-329/17, Heidi Hautala and Others v European Food Safety Authority). In this case note, published on the European Journal of Risk Regulation, I discuss how these two decisions are likely to set a new standard for transparency and access to scientific studies in plant protection products authorisations.
